Cooking for a Cause!

The team here at Lotus People were given an amazing opportunity to volunteer with Ozharvest. Not only was it a very rewarding day but it really was so much fun!

Ozharvest is a food rescue organisation in Australia which aims to collect surplus food and turn it into high quality meals, providing much needed assistance to vulnerable men, women and children across Australia. The fantastic idea, founded by Ronni Kahn, is to limit food wastage and put any surplus food to amazing use by providing to those less fortunate.

We cooked up a huge meal with the guidance of chef Marion, who taught us so many useful tips and tricks. Her creativity was incredible and we were able to make a beautiful nutritious, high-quality meal which included chicken and vegetable patties, a delicious Asian inspired salad and a super tasty mango and berry crumble.

Preparing our freshly made food for delivery!
