Lotus People is officially Great-Place-to-Work Accredited!

At Lotus People, our “human-first” approach covers our clients, our candidates, and the whole team!

With that in mind,  we are thrilled to share that we are now #GPTWcertified, thanks to Great Place to Work. As a company that puts culture, teamwork, and employee experience first, being officially accredited for this really means a lot.

Sinead Connolly, Co-Founder & Director. “It means a huge amount to be GPTW-certified. When I started my recruitment career before creating Lotus People, I always loved partnering with brands who boasted this certification. It speaks to their credibility as an employer and to their commitment to their values and people. Seven years since inception, I am proud to say that we are now also one of these brands.”

David Drew, Associate Director. “I am extremely proud that Lotus People have been certified as a Great Place To Work! Our business is built on delivering an exceptional experience for our customer base, and it’s so important to me that our staff also have an exceptional experience working here. Being GPTW-certified means that our staff can proudly say that they work for an organisation that truly cares for its people, and I couldn’t be prouder. The certification validities that the staff initiatives we have implemented have resonated with our team, and that they genuinely feel supported and empowered to achieve their full potential in our workplace.”

Kerri Olafsen “Working with an organisation that is Great Place to Work-Certified means belonging to a team that is truly values-based and genuinely cares for its staff; being consistently supported through flexible working arrangements, ongoing training and development, prioritising wellbeing and empowering us to be the absolute best we can be, both personally and professionally.”

Michelle Barrett “I feel really proud! Whilst I’ve always known that Lotus People is a great place to work, being able to say that we are certified is the quantified proof of that.”

The whole Lotus team is proud to share this achievement with you! As of 2024, a powerful generational shift is redefining the Australian workforce. For the first time, the workplace is no longer dominated by Baby Boomers or Gen X, but by Millennials and Gen Z. According to the Great Place to Work Insights Report 2024 , these two generations now account for 67% of the workforce in Australia — a demographic transformation that is reshaping major culture across workplaces. With this shift means evolving expectations: how people want to work, what they value in employers, and what they need from leaders. As Baby Boomers retire and Gen X move into more senior leadership roles, Millennials and Gen Z are stepping up — and demanding workplaces that are human-first, values-led and future-focused.

In a market where competition for qualified professionals is fierce, many of our non-profit clients are asking us: “How can we attract and retain great people when we can’t compete on salary and perks?” It’s a valid concern. Industries such as technology, financial services and consulting often have the financial bandwidth to offer high salaries, generous bonus structures and a long list of lifestyle benefits. For mission-driven organisations working with tighter resources, it can feel like a difficult race to run. But a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) isn’t built on budget alone. An EVP is fundamentally about meaning. The reasons people feel proud to work at your organisation. The most effective EVPs we see are not necessarily flashy, but they are clear, consistent and deeply connected to the values and culture of the organisation. When well-crafted and confidently communicated, non-profits can not only compete, but excel, when it comes to attracting and retaining capable, aligned professionals who are motivated by more than just salary.
